Second Issue of EdUHK Futures
Published biannually, EdUHK Futures keeps stakeholders abreast of the latest developments, new projects and initiatives at EdUHK, as well as stories of staff, students and alumni.
EdUHK Elite Athletes Awarded Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charity Fund Scholarship
EdUHK and the Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charity Fund held a Presentation Ceremony on 18 February 2025 for the Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charity Fund Scholarship 2024/2025. The ceremony awarded full scholarships to seven outstanding EdUHK elite athletes who not only excel in their sports but also aspire to become future educators. The scholarship will cover their full tuition fees throughout their study period, so they can focus on their studies without worrying about their financial burden.
EdUHK Holds Second Caring for Life and Wellness 2025 Carnival
EdUHK organised the ‘Caring for Life and Wellness 2025 Carnival’ once again this year on 14 February 2025. The carnival promoted positive values education, a caring culture, and pet-friendly environment, encouraging the University’s senior management, faculty and staff members, and students to participate in a variety of activities on campus and enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
EdUHK Holds Topping-Out Ceremony for New Academic Building A New Milestone for the New Year
EdUHK held a topping-out ceremony for the New Academic Building on 24 January 2025 on its Tai Po campus, marking a new milestone in the development of the University. The new building will incorporate technological applications for “Education Futures”, focusing on advancing fields such as STEM and AI education. This further enhances EdUHK’s role in driving educational innovation and preparing for diversified opportunities to take the University to new heights.
EdUHK Hosts Alumni Reunion Dinner
EdUHK Alumni Affairs and Development Office (AADO) held the ‘EdUHK Alumni Reunion Dinner’ at its Tai Po Campus on 17 January 2025 (Friday), gathering nearly 80 alumni and guests from both mainland China and Hong Kong with University management and faculty.
EdUHK Receives Donation from Pat Chun International Limited to Launch Chinese Cultural Workshops
EdUHK recently received a generous donation of HK$ 1 million from Pat Chun International Limited (Pat Chun) to establish the “Pat Chun Amy Ng Foundation for the Promotion of Chinese Culture to the Young Generation”. The foundation supports the University by conducting a series of Chinese cultural workshops between 2024 and 2028. The workshops allow EdUHK students to learn traditional craft techniques through interactive methods, understand traditional Chinese culture, and enhance cultural literacy. The foundation also provides opportunities for students to reflect on life and personal values through Chinese culture, jointly promoting and spreading Chinese traditional cultural arts.
